9. Almaty, Central Asia & Nomad Culture
Germany and Korea are separated by more than 8,000 kilometers. Between them lies Central Asia, a vast region connected by the Silk Road, where people, goods, and stories traveled between East and West for centuries.
Almaty is one of Kazakhstan's most important cities and a place where nomadic traditions, Soviet-era heritage, and modern life coexist. Although the capital was later moved to Astana, Almaty remains a major cultural and economic center and offers a glimpse into many different aspects of Kazakh history and everyday life.
Through Almaty and Central Asia, GrimmMeta explores the stories of the steppe, the spirit of the nomads, and another bridge connecting Germany and Korea.
